- 1 cup full-fat sour cream
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Cook egg noodles in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion until translucent, then add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked noodles with sour cream and half of the cheddar cheese. Fold in the beef mixture until evenly combined.
- Transfer to the prepared baking dish, top with remaining cheddar cheese, and bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
