  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Cook egg noodles in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion until translucent, then add ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  5. In a large bowl, combine cooked noodles with sour cream and half of the cheddar cheese. Fold in the beef mixture until evenly combined.
  6. Transfer to the prepared baking dish, top with remaining cheddar cheese, and bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
