  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
  • 8 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve some pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Season chicken with salt and pepper, cooking until golden brown (about 6 minutes per side). Remove from skillet and slice.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic; sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Add shrimp, cooking until pink (about 3 minutes).
  4. Pour in heavy cream while stirring continuously. Gradually add Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Combine sliced chicken and drained fettuccine in the skillet, tossing gently with reserved pasta water for desired creaminess.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with extra Parmesan or cracked black pepper.
