  • 8 oz fettuccine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente (about 10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and stir continuously until warmed.
  4. Add chopped basil and Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and combined into a creamy sauce.
  5. Toss cooked fettuccine in the sauce until evenly coated, adding reserved pasta water if needed for desired consistency.
