Description

Jalapeno Popper Wontons are a mouthwatering fusion of crispy, golden wonton wrappers filled with a creamy blend of cheese and spicy jalapeños. Perfect for parties, game days, or cozy movie nights, they deliver an irresistible crunch and explosive flavor in every bite. These delightful bites are quick to prepare and can be customized to suit your taste, making them a must-have appetizer for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 2 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Cooking oil for frying (enough to cover the bottom of the pan)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the chopped jalapeños, cream cheese, shredded cheddar, and green onions until well combined.
  2. Place a tablespoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold into triangles or envelopes, sealing tightly.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Carefully fry the wontons in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp.
  4. Transfer fried wontons to paper towels to drain excess oil and cool slightly before serving.
