- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 1 cup fresh lobster meat
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 1 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Cook the elbow macaroni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour until smooth and golden (about 2 minutes).
- Gradually add milk and cream while whisking continuously until thickened (5–7 minutes). Stir in mustard powder and paprika.
- Reduce heat to low, add cheddar cheese gradually, stirring until melted. Carefully fold in cooked pasta and lobster.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish. Mix panko with melted butter and sprinkle on top.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
