  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup fresh lobster meat
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour until smooth and golden (about 2 minutes).
  3. Gradually add milk and cream while whisking continuously until thickened (5–7 minutes). Stir in mustard powder and paprika.
  4. Reduce heat to low, add cheddar cheese gradually, stirring until melted. Carefully fold in cooked pasta and lobster.
  5. Transfer to a greased baking dish. Mix panko with melted butter and sprinkle on top.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
