Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 10 corn tortillas
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • Oil for frying (approximately 1 cup)
  • ½ cup sour cream (for topping)
  • 1 cup pico de gallo (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Season chicken with salt, pepper, cumin, and chili powder.
  2. Roast seasoned chicken in a baking dish for 25-30 minutes until fully cooked. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before shredding.
  3. Warm tortillas slightly to prevent cracking, then roll shredded chicken tightly in each tortilla.
  4. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry flautas seam-side down for about 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Drain excess oil on paper towels and serve topped with sour cream and pico de gallo.
