- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 package stuffing mix (cornbread or herb)
- 1 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 cup finely chopped celery
- 3 tablespoons butter
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme to taste
Instructions
- Gather and prepare all ingredients by finely chopping the onions and celery.
- (Optional) Sear chicken breasts in a skillet over medium-high heat until golden brown on both sides.
- In a large bowl, mix the stuffing mix with chopped vegetables and seasonings. Add chicken broth until moist but not soggy.
- Layer half of the stuffing in the slow cooker. Place seared chicken on top, then cover with remaining stuffing.
- Pour any leftover broth over the mixture and dot with butter pieces.
