  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp freshly grated nutmeg
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Nutmeg cream cheese frosting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Optionally frost with nutmeg cream cheese frosting before serving.
