Marinated flank steak is grilled to juicy perfection and served atop a bed of rice or quinoa, complemented by fresh toppings like avocado, tomatoes, and crisp lettuce. This colorful bowl is not only a feast for the eyes but also a quick and satisfying dinner option that can be easily customized to fit your cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup cooked rice or quinoa
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce

Instructions

  1. 1. Marinate the Steak: In a large bowl, mix lime juice, garlic, cilantro, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Add the steak and coat well. Marinate for at least one hour in the refrigerator.
  2. 2. Cook the Steak: Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade and cook for about 4–5 minutes per side until desired doneness is reached (medium-rare: approx. 130°F).
  3. 3. Rest & Slice: Transfer steak to a cutting board and let it rest for five minutes before slicing against the grain into thin strips.
  4. 4. Prepare Your Bowls: In serving bowls, layer cooked rice or quinoa as a base, then top with sliced steak, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and avocado slices.
  5. 5. Drizzle & Enjoy: Add extra lime juice or hot sauce if desired. Serve immediately.
