Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional for thickening)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef strips for about 3-5 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté onions and mushrooms for about 4-5 minutes until tender.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  4. Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and smoked paprika; scrape up any brown bits from the pan.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and let simmer for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  6. If needed, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry and add to the sauce. Return beef to skillet; heat through.
  7. Serve warm over zucchini noodles or cauliflower rice.
