  • 12 oz ziti pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook ziti in salted boiling water until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Brown ground beef (5-7 minutes), breaking it apart.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with salt and pepper.
  6. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the cooked ziti, half of the meat sauce, half of the ricotta mixture, and half of the mozzarella. Repeat layers.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
