Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes). Add melted butter, sugar, salt, and half of the flour. Mix well and gradually add the remaining flour until combined.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5–7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  3. For the filling, mix sugar, cinnamon, lemon zest, and blueberries in a bowl.
  4. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle on a floured surface; spread softened butter over the top and sprinkle with the blueberry mixture.
  5. Roll tightly from one end to form a log; slice into equal pieces (about 1.5 inches thick) and place cut-side up in a greased baking dish.
  6. Cover and let rise again while preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. While cooling slightly, whisk powdered sugar and lemon juice together for glaze; drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
