  • 4 cups stale bread, cubed
  • 2 cups whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dried fruit (raisins or cranberries)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cut stale bread into one-inch cubes and evenly distribute them in the baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth. Pour the mixture over the bread cubes.
  4. Sprinkle dried fruit over the top of the mixture.
  5. Allow the mixture to soak for 15–20 minutes.
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden brown on top and set in the center. Let cool slightly before serving.
