- 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 12 ounces Cajun smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook fettuccine in boiling salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, sauté sliced Cajun smoked sausage over medium heat for about 5 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add heavy cream and let simmer gently.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Return sausage to the skillet along with drained pasta, tossing to combine evenly with the sauce.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan or parsley if desired.
