- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, five-spice powder, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar.
- Place chicken thighs in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over them. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight).
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top if available.
- Remove chicken from marinade (reserve marinade) and place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
- Brush reserved marinade over chicken during the last few minutes of cooking and broil for an additional 2 minutes for caramelization.
