  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, cream butter with brown and granulated sugars. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Scoop cookie dough into balls, flatten slightly, place a teaspoon of cheesecake filling in the center, and wrap dough around it.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
  7. Cool on baking sheets for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
