  • 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and slice potatoes into 1/8-inch rounds.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; add garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Slowly whisk in heavy cream until heated through.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, pour half the sauce over them, then repeat.
