  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)

  • ½ cup brown sugar (light)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk and granulated sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Gradually add to the yeast mixture until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled.
  4. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle, spread melted butter over it, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  5. Cut the dough into squares and stack them vertically in a greased loaf pan.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  7. For the cream cheese drizzle, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth; add milk if needed for desired consistency. Drizzle over warm bread before serving.
