  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or high-quality store-bought)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. Clean the octopus under cold running water, removing any beak or innards if necessary. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cranberry sauce, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Place the octopus in a resealable bag or bowl and pour the marinade over it. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (or set your oven to broil) and soak wooden skewers in water if using.
  5. Thread marinated octopus pieces onto skewers (3-4 pieces per skewer) ensuring they aren't overcrowded.
  6. Grill each skewer for about 3-4 minutes per side until charred and tender.
