  • 1 sheet store-bought puff pastry (approximately 250g)
  • 1/2 cup almond paste (approximately 125g)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (25g)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (28g)
  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into triangles.
  3. In a bowl, mix the almond paste and sugar until well combined.
  4. Place one tablespoon of almond filling at the wide end of each triangle and roll tightly towards the point.
  5. Brush the tops with the beaten egg wash and sprinkle with sliced almonds if desired.
