  • 4 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (full-fat)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 320°F (160°C). Line an 8-inch round cake pan with parchment paper and wrap in aluminum foil.
  2. In a bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add half the sugar until stiff peaks form.
  3. In another bowl, mix cream cheese with remaining sugar until smooth. Add milk, flour, cornstarch, and egg yolks; mix until creamy.
  4. Gently fold whipped egg whites into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and place in a larger baking dish filled with hot water. Bake for about 60 minutes or until golden on top but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  6. Allow cooling before slicing. Serve with fresh berries or whipped cream.
