  • 4 slices thick bread (brioche or challah)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying (enough to submerge half of the sandwich)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
