Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Rinse and pat dry the shrimp.
  2. Cook the pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook pasta until al dente; reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
  3. Sauté garlic and shrimp: In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Add shrimp and cook until pink.
  4. Create the sauce: Pour in heavy cream, add crushed red pepper flakes, and simmer for a few minutes. Stir in grated Parmesan until melted.
