Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (cold, cut into cubes)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh pecans (chopped)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix flour and cold butter until crumbly. Gradually add cold water to form dough.
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut circles to fit muffin tins.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, bourbon, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Stir in chopped pecans until evenly mixed.
  5. Fill each tart shell three-quarters full with the pecan mixture.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
