- 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 2 tbsp milk (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined.
- Spread half the dough in the prepared pan. Spoon fruit jam over it and layer with remaining dough.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool before icing with powdered sugar mixed with milk.
