Description

Spinach Garlic Meatballs with Mozzarella are a delicious and nutritious dish that combines tender ground meat, vibrant spinach, and gooey mozzarella cheese. Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped spinach with minced garlic until wilted (about 3 minutes). Let cool.
  3. In a bowl, combine ground meat, sautéed spinach and garlic, breadcrumbs, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  4. Roll into golf ball-sized meatballs and place on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Serve with marinara sauce or over pasta.
