Description

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (cold, cubed)
  • 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Add the cold butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Stir in the whipping cream and vanilla extract until just combined.
  5. Spread half of the batter in the prepared pan. Top with sliced strawberries.
  6. Dollop remaining batter over strawberries and gently spread.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Cool completely before slicing.
