Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, eggs, milk, melted butter, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl; cover and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Punch down the dough and roll out to about half an inch thick. Cut into donut shapes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to about 350°F (175°C). Fry each donut for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. While warm, dip in powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze.
