Description

Savor this tender marinated flank steak, bursting with flavor from a savory-sweet marinade that elevates your summer barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs flank steak
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, honey, garlic, oregano, black pepper, lemon juice, and salt to create the marinade.
  2. Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring all surfaces are coated.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for optimal flavor.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F).
  5. Remove the flank steak from the marinade (discard any leftover marinade) and grill each side for about 6-8 minutes until desired doneness is reached.
  6. Let the steak rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
