- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 8 taco shells (hard or soft)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions (red or yellow)
- 1/2 cup dill pickles, sliced
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Form the ground beef into eight 2-ounce balls.
- Place the beef balls in the skillet without overcrowding, then use a spatula to smash them down to about half an inch thick.
- Season with salt and pepper while cooking. Sear for about 3-4 minutes until browned.
- Flip the patties, place shredded cheese on top, and cover briefly until melted (about 1-2 minutes).
- Warm taco shells according to package instructions.
- Assemble tacos by placing a patty in each shell and topping with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, mustard, and ketchup.
