Description

Smash Burger Tacos are a fun and flavorful fusion of juicy smashed burgers nestled in crispy taco shells, perfect for any gathering or casual night in.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 8 taco shells (hard or soft)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions (red or yellow)
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, sliced
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Form the ground beef into eight 2-ounce balls.
  2. Place the beef balls in the skillet without overcrowding, then use a spatula to smash them down to about half an inch thick.
  3. Season with salt and pepper while cooking. Sear for about 3-4 minutes until browned.
  4. Flip the patties, place shredded cheese on top, and cover briefly until melted (about 1-2 minutes).
  5. Warm taco shells according to package instructions.
  6. Assemble tacos by placing a patty in each shell and topping with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, mustard, and ketchup.
