- 20 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup ricotta cheese (whole milk)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta shells in boiling salted water until al dente, about 9 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef (5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat and stir in garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
- In a bowl, mix cooked beef, ricotta, half of the mozzarella, parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread a layer of marinara sauce in a baking dish. Fill each shell with the beef mixture and place them seam-side up in the dish.
- Top shells with remaining marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil for the last 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
- Let cool slightly before serving garnished with extra parsley.
