  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup bell peppers (mixed red and green), sliced
  • 1 cup sweet onions, sliced
  • 1 cup Cheese Whiz (or provolone cheese)
  • 2 tbsp butter (for toasting rolls)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil (canola or grapeseed)

Instructions

  1. Slice ribeye against the grain into thin strips for tenderness. Prepare bell peppers and onions.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add cooking oil. Sauté onions and peppers until softened and golden brown (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. Push vegetables aside and add beef strips, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until browned (3-5 minutes).
  4. Pour Cheese Whiz over beef mixture or top with provolone slices; allow to melt for about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, melt butter in another pan and toast hoagie rolls until golden brown.
  6. Fill each toasted roll with the beef and cheese mixture. Serve hot!
