- 1 bag (8 oz) tortilla chips
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 packet taco seasoning (about 1 oz)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 2 cups chopped lettuce (romaine recommended)
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- ½ cup salsa or hot sauce
- 1 ripe avocado or ½ cup guacamole (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the ground beef or turkey in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 7-10 minutes.
- Stir in taco seasoning and water as per package instructions; simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
- Open small bags of tortilla chips and spoon in the seasoned meat mixture.
- Top each bag with shredded cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, and avocado as desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
