Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 loaf ciabatta bread sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for brushing
For the Topping
  • 4 medium ripe tomatoes diced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Prepare the Topping
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  2. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Prepare the Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the ciabatta bread and arrange the slices on a baking sheet.
  3. Brush the tops of the bread slices with olive oil.
  4. Bake in the oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
Assemble the Bruschetta
  1. Remove the toasted bread from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  2. Spoon the tomato mixture generously over each slice of toasted bread.
  3. Serve immediately while the bread is still warm.
