  • 2 cups penne pasta uncooked
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce chopped

  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing store-bought or homemade
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
For the Garnish
  • 1/4 cup croutons optional
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped, optional

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 10-12 minutes.
  2. Once cooked, drain the pasta and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
Preparing the Salad
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, shredded chicken, and cooled penne pasta.
  2. Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the salad mixture and toss gently to combine.
Finishing Touches
  1. Add the grated parmesan cheese and toss again until evenly distributed.
  2. If desired, top the salad with croutons and chopped parsley for garnish.
