Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 24 medium button mushrooms stems removed
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs plain or seasoned
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
For the Topping
  • 8 ounces crab meat cooked and shredded
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
For Garnishing
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for drizzling
  • 1 teaspoon paprika for sprinkling

Method
 

Prepare the Mushroom Caps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and carefully remove the stems. Set the caps aside.
Make the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, breadcrumbs, lemon juice, and garlic powder until smooth.
  2. Gently fold in the crab meat, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and Old Bay seasoning. Mix until well combined.
Stuff the Mushrooms
  1. Using a spoon, fill each mushroom cap generously with the crab filling.
  2. Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake the Mushrooms
  1. Drizzle olive oil over the stuffed mushrooms and sprinkle with paprika for color.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
