Loaded Cheesy Fries

Deliciously crispy fries topped with melted cheese, crispy bacon, and green onions for a perfect indulgent snack or side dish.

Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 4 medium potatoes Russet or Yukon Gold recommended
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for tossing
For the Topping
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese or a cheese blend
  • 1 cup cooked bacon crumbled
  • 1/4 cup green onions sliced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Fries
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and cut the potatoes into fry shapes of about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the cut potatoes with olive oil until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake the Fries
  1. Bake the fries in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
Add the Toppings
  1. Once the fries are done baking, remove them from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
  2. Add the crumbled bacon on top of the cheese, then return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
Serve
  1. Remove the loaded fries from the oven and garnish with sliced green onions.
  2. Serve hot with a side of sour cream for dipping.
