Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 cup green bell pepper diced
  • 1 cup sloppy joe sauce
  • 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
For the Topping
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs optional for crunch

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the diced onion and green bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the sloppy joe sauce and cooked macaroni, mixing well to combine.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and bread crumbs (if using) evenly over the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
